A first try of the unattended time lapse technique. Unfortunately, I had two power failures when the 12V adaptor lost good contact with the power tank.

Shot with the Canon PowerShot A540 on static tripod. ISO 400 setting, 15 seconds exposure (the maximum allowed). One frame every 45 seconds, 93 frames in total.

Airy disk of Polaris, demonstrating

A 4.5" Newtonian at FL=900mm and a 3x Barlowed ToUcam webcam capturing at 5 fps the Airy disk of Polaris, slightly unfocused. One can clearly see the Airy disk and surrounding rings broken up by the atmospheric effects (called "seeing" ). This sequence can also be used to show the state of collimation of the scope.
