Was apx 8500 ft up on Mt Lemmon, AZ enjoying some snow action with the kids when noticed Moon and Mars rising! No editing here just cropped for size. Did not expect this fantastic result!!
This lunar eclipse was captured the morning of August 28th, 2007. As the sunlight is refracted through Earth's atmosphere, it casts a deep reddish-orange or even brownish color on the Moon. Each lunar eclipse reveals subtle differences in color based on the atmospheric conditions on Earth.
