Hi.all,

           My name is Ron. and I am married to my lovely wife Patricia. We have been married 46 years, and have a son and daughter, both married, and two grandsons.

          I have been in love with astronomy most of my life, as an observer, photographer, and a maker of Newtonian mirrors.

I have made in the region of 15 telescopes of sizes 5" to 14". I have a 16" f4.5 awaiting figuring, but I am not sure I will ever finish it.

            I own a Meade LX90 12", A 152mm f8 refractor. A ED80 Apo. A meade DSI Camera, A Logitech Fusion Webcam, and an Olympus DSLR E-500 which I think is a superb camera IMHO.  I have too, a Fujitsu Siemens laptop, a fairly high spec. Pentium 4 computer I built myself for video editing together with my Canon digi camcorder. My good lady says I have more toys than Santa Claus.

               I love the Stargazers Lounge. It is full of so many nice friendly people, who are always ready to help those who need it.  I am tremendously impressed with the very high quality of imagery that constantly streams into the site, and it is getting better with each new entry. Truly wonderful stuff.   I enjoy the friendly banter enormously too, and I hope I can get to the next SGL Starparty to meet the faces behind the names.
